Cut and Paste 2007 |
|

I was selected to be one of the 8 contestants for the Cut&Paste Live Contest in London and I finished as semifinalist. It was very exciting and I had a great time plus I went home with a brand new Intuos 3 A4 Secial Edition Wacom Tablet. Cut and Paste is a live tournament where designers compete shoulder to shoulder and they have 15 minutes to complete and artwork in a specific subject.

Cincompasion |
|
This is a short film that I collaborated back in 1999 when I was at my second year at university, and I was fresh new to 3D. In fact when I got into this class I didn't knew what 3D was. In this project, I worked mainly in concept art and texturing. By the end I was able to do some additional modeling and animation.
The short has a duration of 8 minutes and was completed in 8 months by 12 students and presented by the University San Francisco de Quito. It is the first 3D Animated short film produced in Ecuador and it got the first place at the ANIMA animation festival in Mexico con 2000.

Climber |
|

I recently finished my studies at Vancouver Film School and Climber is my final project. This short film is also my animation reel, so besides showcasing animation I also wanted it to be something new and different in terms of the visuals.

Graphic Novel 'el Condor Ciego' |
|
This is a project Alvaro Alemán and I worked on for a few months. Alvaro, professor of literature at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, wrote El Cóndor Ciego (The Blind Condor) which is based on the short story by Ecuadorian writer César Dávila Andrade. This is the first time I work on a graphic novel and I really enjoyed it.
Suicide is the mantra of this story.

El Diario de los Glaciares |
|

I keep several sketchbooks organized by media type or theme.
This one is a watercolor journal about mountains and journeys. I try to finish every piece on the spot, but most of the times I have to do it at home.
